Since its debut in October 1994, the online textbook Chaos: Classical and Quantum  has aimed to provide physics graduate students with an up-to-date and authoritative course on chaos. In the words of the book’s lead author, Predrag Cvitanovic of Georgia Tech, “It is better to have a webbook accessible to one and all, continuously improved, at the forefront, rather than chiseled in stone.”

La theorie du chaos, une revolution?

ChaosBook 8 seconds of fame [AKA Meet Dave]

How do you control an unruly grade school class? Teach them the trace formula, of course (clip is 46 sec: look closely at the last 8 seconds). They lowered the dimensions of a 4 x 4 matrix without asking because Hollywood is able to take that kind of liberty.
